Yesterday was the official public release of Windows 10, and we have something to share you about the latest update on the all new Windows 10 operating system. There is still some part of the globe which may not have got the update, but be sure to check’em once you get the update. Some of the key highlights are like: The Windows Edge browser, Touch screen keyboard layout, New options added to the Camera App, Well organized and a new Settings panel interface, In-built phone companion application and lot more to count.
With this latest release Microsoft has brought so many changes to the user interface, added lots of features and hence is expecting to gain its market position back in the PC business as well as in Smartphone business. Well, lets not get into that, and see the below features on Windows 10.

#1: The Multi Desktop environment
Now you can have multiple desktop environments on the latest Windows update. Although this will not be a new feature for most of the Linux users, because it was there from years, but Microsoft has it added to the latest Windows version now.
What you can do with this multi Desktop???
Well, now you can run multiple applications on multiple Desktops.
For example: You can now open a browser and other applications on the Desktop 1, a media player and other applications on the Desktop number 2 and so on.
This will even help you in hiding your stuffs (temporarily) on other desktops when somebody jumps immediately to see your system that, what are you doing. You can switch to another Desktop immediately.
Along with the Multi Desktop environment that is just introduced in the latest Windows update, the multi task window is also updated. Below image is just a screenshot of the same.
#2: New Built-in Phone companion application
Windows 10 has a new built-in phone companion application added to sync-up with your phone. This companion application will just work with any Smartphone, whether it be a Windows, Android or an iOS phone. Just connect your phone, select which phone you have and it will guide you to set things up.
#3: New Action Center that provides quick access to handy stuffs
A new Action Center is added to provide you quick access to some of the handy stuffs that you will be using. This also provides quick notifications. This Action Center is no more different from the Notification area of Android or in iOS. The Action Center gives you access to toggle Desktop/Tablet mode, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection settings, System Settings and much more.
#4: All new Microsoft Edge browser
In the latest Windows, the Internet Explorer has been replaced by Microsoft Edge browser, which is claimed as the fastest browser by Microsoft. The UI has just got better, it now includes Sharing options, private window and other added features.
#5: New full width Touch Keyboard
Windows 10 includes a full width on-screen Keyboard and which is accessible from the Task Bar at the bottom of the Desktop. This will really be very helpful on Tablets and touch enable Desktops.
#6: The Start Menu is back
Windows 10 has restored the Start menu that was lost in Windows 8 onwards. Now the Start menu has got some more things added to it and provides a completely new interface.
In addition to the Start Menu the All Apps view just lists all applications on your system in a list view and is integrated on the Start Menu, through which you can access any application easily.
#7: Default Camera has lot more options to explore
The default Camera application on Windows has just got better features than ever. Basically, as there is no such different OS from Windows for Desktop and mobile phones, it seems that everything is embedded in a single OS environment.
#8: Easily cast your images or videos to other devices
Windows 10 integrates the “Cast to Device” option on a right click (Context Menu) on every possible multimedia file whether it be an image or a video. So, now you can seamlessly cast your stuffs to compatible devices like Wi-fi TVs or Google Chrome etc.
#9: Gather all your mails at one place
Now you don’t have to access the browser to see your e-mails, because the built-in Mail app just integrates all your e-mail accounts at one place. This is something similar to the Google Inbox mail application.
#10: Data usage view added on Network settings
Similar to Android phones, where you can monitor your data usage, now Windows 10 also integrates the same option of “Data Usage” under Network & Internet settings. This can help you to monitor Data usage and is helpful when you have a limited data connection.
#11: Well managed and user friendly Settings panel
The older Control Panel is now replaced by a “Stings” panel. The Settings panel is now well organized and well categorized. You will find appropriate setting options under relevant category.
#12: Overall a new user experience
There is one integrated Search box at the bottom of the Window to give you quick access to find what you need. Along side the return of Start Menu, Nee well managed and well categorized Settings Menu and above all Microsoft has brought a complete new User interface. This has just got better from a user’s point of view.
