DataWind PocketSurfer 2G4X and PocketSurfer 3G4Z launched for Rs. 2499 and Rs. 3999

DataWind, which brought the low-cost Aakash tablets, today launched PocketSurfer 2G4X and PocketSurfer 3G4Z, two new entry-level Android smartphones targeting lower segment of the smartphone market. These are successors of Pocket surfer phones 2G4 and 3G4 launched in March 2015.

DataWind PocketSurfer 2G4X specs:

  • 256MB RAM, 512MB memory, expandable memory up to 32GB
  • Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)

DataWind PocketSurfer 3G4Z specs:

  • 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) display
  • 1 GHz Cortex A7 processor
  • 512RAM, 4GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 32GB
  • Android 4.4.2 (KitKat)
  • 5MP rear camera with LED flash
  • VGA front-facing camera
  • Dual SIM
  • 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio
  • 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, aGPS

DataWind PocketSurfer 2G4X

The DataWind PocketSurfer 2G4X is priced at Rs. 2499 and the PocketSurfer 3G4Z has a price tag of Rs. 3999. BOth of them have free unlimited internet browsing for one year on Reliance and Telenor for pre-paid customers. As per Datawind, “Free internet access will not allow audio/video streaming or downloads.”

As per the CEO of Datawind, Suneet Singh Tuli, these two budget friendly Android powered smartphones will help Datawind become a leading player in low cost affordable smartphone market segment. As per him these two smartphones provide superior technology complemented with unmatched style. He also added that, in comparison to its predecessors, these phones offer the right mix of features and internet connectivity.
