Sony launches Open Device Program via which you can now create a test image of Android M Developer Preview and flash that onto any Xperia device. The recently released Android M Developer Preview gives developers the necessary tools to prepare for the full Android M release. Discover the changes, then test and verify your apps on the new platform.

Following are the device list supported through Sony’s “Open Device” program:
Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, Z3 Tablet Compact, Z2, Z2 Tablet, Z1, Z1 Compact, Z1 Ultra, Xperia Z, ZL, Xperia Tablet Z, E3, M2, T2 Ultra, T3, L and S.

Before proceeding to build Android M preview for your device, it’s important to note that the AOSP software is not certified or intended for regular use and it’s only available for devices with an unlocked boot loader and comes with some limitations, for example, the modem and the camera are not implemented.
