Check out the all new XBOX one from Microsoft Inc.


The All new Xbox one, an upcoming video game console form Microsoft Inc. is set to be released this November and let me tell you one thing… It’s not a cheap one as one can expect.
Microsoft claims the all new Xbox one as all-in-one entertainment system.


It includes the following features mentioned here in brief:

  • Featuring the Best games in the arena (100 awards for exclusive games as compared to 42 for Play Station 4 @ E3 2013).
  • Kinect’s voice and motion control feature will exclusively outperform your gaming experience.
  • The built-in skype client allows you to make video calls and group video calls with upto 3 people.
  • You can now conect your existing set-top box to Xbox one.
  • Cloud computing defines this box as claimed by Microsoft Inc.: “Built for the future”.

Hardware Specifications and Comparison with the Predecessor:

The Xbox 360 is the predecessor to Xbox one.
As the time gap between Xbox 360 release (November 2005) and Xbox one (November 2013) is around 8 years,
so it’s obvious that there will be noticeable differences between the two.
Here goes the hardware specifications for the all new to be released Xbox one And noticeable differences with it’s predecessor:

Xbox One Specs:

  • CPU: AMD 8 core (2 Quad-core Jaguar modules) APU.
  • RAM: 8 GB DDR3 (5GB available to games).
  • STORAGE: 500 GB HDD.
  • GRAPHICS: AMD Radeon variant Graphics.
  • SOUND: 7.1 Surround sound.
  • CAMERA: 1080p Kinect camera.
  • SUPORTED MEDIA: Blu-ray Disc, DVD.
  • H/W INTERFACE: Three USB 3.0 ports and One HDMI port.
  • NETWORKING INTERFACE: Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n wireless and Wi-Fi direct.

Xbox 360 Specs:

  • CPU: 3.2 GHz Power PC Tri-core Xenon.
  • RAM: 512 MB GDDR3 clocked @ 700 MHz.
  • STORAGE: Detachable HDD, On-board storage chip, Removable memory cards, USB storage devices.
  • GRAPHICS: 500 MHz ATI Xenos.
  • SOUND: Analog Stereo, 5.1 Surround sound.
  • CAMERA: 480p Kinect camera.
  • SUPORTED MEDIA: DVD, Compact Disc.
  • H/W INTERFACE: Three USB 2.0 ports, IR receiver.
  • NETWORKING INTERFACE: 100 Mbit/s Ethernet, 2.4GHz wireless.


Xbox One is released to the market just a couple of weeks before the PS4 is set to release.
There are only 3 manufacturers for this gamimg console development domain.

Following are the major competetors for the Xbox one:

  • Sony’s Play Station 4.
  • Nintendo’s Wii U.

Kinect is a motion sensing input device by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game console and Windows PCs.
Based around a webcam-style add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, it enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller, through a natural user interface using gestures and spoken commands.
A version for Windows was released on February 1, 2012.

Following are the major competetors for the Kinect:

  • PlayStation Move with PlayStation Eye motion controllers.
  • Wii Remote Plus.
