Much awaited Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen has been launched in India today. The 8GB variant comes at a price tag of Rs. 11,999 and the 16 GB variant comes at a price tag of Rs. 12,999. At a glance this is a 64-bit chipset variant as compared to the older siblings of the Moto G series which were based on 32-bit chipset. Lets see the hardware specifications of the latest Moto G in a broader view.

Hardware specs of Moto G 3rd Gen

The latest Moto G 3rd Gen is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor (MSM8916).
This sports a 5 inch 720p HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
On the memory front, there are two variants, one with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory and the other comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.
This time the Moto G comes with a microSD card slot.
The phone comes with dual SIM (GSM + LTE), 4G LTE support.
On the camera part, this has a 13MP auto focus rear camera with CCT dual flash and a 5MP front facing selfie camera.
This phone is water resistant which has a IPX7-rating.
The latest Moto G runs on Android Lollipop out-of-box.
The SAR value is 0.905W/kg head and 1.069 W/kg body.
There is a non-removable battery of 2470 mAh capacity.

The Moto G 3rd Gen is listed on flipkart website and here is the Moto G3 page on flipkart.

The price variation is not more than Rs 1000 between the two variants, so in my opinion it really makes sense to go for the 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory variant.
